Taylor Colvey's Bio

I help natural health seekers who are tired of the conventional medicine approach. I know how frustrating it is to cycle through bloating, brain fog, anxiety, and autoimmune flares. That's why I created my program to help you find energy and peace to live out your purpose. When you work with me, you go from frustrated to regulated. So you can finally have vibrant health that lasts a lifetime.

Throughout my life, I’ve been highly sensitive, often finding that conventional medicine didn’t give me the answers I was looking for, and the sterile environment and quick consults didn't suit me.

I know how frustrating it is to have "wack-a-mole" symptoms. In my early 30's, I had a cyst the size of a grapefruit surgically removed and loads of back pain from undiagnosed endometriosis since my teenage years.

When I hit my 40's, it was:

  • Fatty liver (confirmed on a FibroScan)
  • Hypothyroid (Serum Blood Lab)
  • Weight gain
  • Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (Serum Blood Lab)
  • Food sensitivities (Genetic Test, Serum Blood Lab)
  • Fatigue
  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO/IMO)
  • Small Intestinal Fungal Overgrowth (SIFO)

My awareness of systemic flaws grew as I tried to find help within conventional and alternative health industries. I witnessed industries prioritize profit over people, doctors recommending unnecessary procedures, the food and wine industries using artificial additives, and the devastation caused by the opioid crisis. From 2020 to 2023, I faced social isolation for questioning public health directives. My experiences, including losing an adjunct teaching position, fueled my resolve to stand against systems that failed to understand each person is unique, health stories matter, and chronic health symptoms aren't solved by one thing.

If any of this resonates, chances are you've already been working on cleaning up your health, managing your stress, and increasing your exercise, which is excellent!

If all your efforts, however, haven't been producing the results you are seeking, your biology is keeping you stuck.

I reversed Intestinal Methane Overgrowth (IMO) and Small Intestinal Fungal Overgrowth (SIFO), and autoimmune thyroid markers in ways conventional medicine and traditional therapies could never offer. Now symptom-free, this systems-based approach allowed me to reclaim vibrant health, and most importantly, the confidence to maintain my health on my own.

Now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same. I invite you to join me in breaking free from quick fixes and embracing a sustainable path to lifelong wellness. Together, we can move beyond the fragmented healthcare system into a future of thriving vitality.

Taylor Colvey

M.A + National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor

Taylor is a Clinical Counseling Trainee turned Certified Functional Nutritional Counselor and Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, dedicated to helping clients strengthen the foundations of their gut-brain-immune health naturally.

As a Clinical Counseling Trainee, she saw how many of her clients lacked the foundations of physical health. This led her to further her training in Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Counseling and later become certified in both Health and Wellness Coaching and Functional Nutrition. Trauma-Informed Care is critical because trauma/overwhelm can significantly influence nervous system regulation, gut health, immune function, and chronic disease risk, which is why she focuses on these areas with her clients.

She grew up on three acres in North County San Diego with an organic lemon grove and a love for fresh, whole foods from her mother’s garden. This upbringing shaped her belief in nature's brilliance and the body's natural ability to heal.

She currently teaches Health & Wellness Coach trainees through UCSD's Extension Program.

Taylor is an active yogi and salsa dancer. She lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 18 years and now lives with her husband in Ocean Beach, CA, where they enjoy hiking, traveling, and seeing live music.
